Starting point : Mamers

Mamers, capital of the Saosnois area and a major town in the Sarthe department, is home to the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Sarthe Rillettes. They are a group dedicated to the longstanding traditions of excellence in the making of rillettes (potted meat), a local speciality. Starting at the Tourist Office, take a gastronomic tour of the town from delicatessen to delicatessen where rillettes take pride of place.
