Located to the north east of Alençon, Courtomer marks the meeting point of three regions : the Perche, the Merlerault and the Pays d'Ouche.

The countryside here is characterised by old fashioned hedges marking out the flat green pastures and golden wheat fields springing from the fertile Normandy soil beneath.

Nature lovers will appreciate the numerous paths for ramblers and the opportunities for relaxing by the river or to enjoy fishing for trout by Osier lake.

 

Horses dominate the landscape of stud farms, stables, arable farms, hay barns and traditional country dwellings.

 

 

 

 

This land is well suited to the cultivation of apples and so cider, pommeau and calvados are all produced here, along with foie gras and goat's cheese. The whole family will enjoy a visit to the Deer Park .
